What are my WHMIS training choices?

When I have to renew my WHMIS training and get a new WHMIS certificate which choices do I have? 

Online - Off site - On Site?

Online WHMIS training has become the standard for training because of the convenience of allowing each employee to complete the training on their schedule. It is also the most cost effective way to train small numbers, or even one person at a time. This means that the new hires do not have to wait until there is a big enough group to run a classroom training session or be sent out for an off-site session. They can often have the training done before they start on the job.

Off-site WHMIS training was once the main way employees were trained on WHMIS, especially for small employeers who might hire people one at a time and send them to a WHMIS workshop for a day or half day. There are less of these choices available mostly because of the higher cost to deliver face to face training, and employers who are less willing to have people off the job for a day to get training.

On Site Training - still a common way of training employee on WHMIS. With the higher costs of having a trainer deliver face to face training you need numbers to make it work. When an employer is able to get groups of 20, 30, or more people together for group WHMIS training the cost per person becomes more affordable.
